Zoe's Baptism

We were lucky enough to have professional photographer, Aunt Brenda at the event, we have the cool pictures to prove it.  She also gave an awesome talk on Baptism.  Zoe picked all her Aunts and her Grandma's to participate in the program.  Then her sisters and cousins sang a song also---girl power!
The picture of Aftyn and Monica cracks me up.  Both Aftyn and Monica have the same special blankey---and Matt saw it at the church and threw it in their car.  Meanwhile back at the church Monica's family was searching the building room by room while Monica cried for her blankey.  Luckily Monica and her blanket were reunited at lunch---close one!  In the bottom picture Holly is warming her hands on a pan that is recently out of the oven.  Heather apparently thinks she is nuts.
Newest member of the church---for a few minutes anyway!
People were so sweet and gave Zoe cute little things to help her remember her special baptism day---the best part was the unintentional "theme" gift of necklaces!  She got 6----she is thrilled, she told me she almost has a enough to wear a different one everyday!
Zoe is the first of this group of friends who are all on the way to their baptism day.
Our little family before the baptism.
Our bigger family before the baptism!
It was a great weekend---so much fun to have family from Utah and California make the trip. Saturday after the baptism and lunch, Matt, Courtney, Holly, Heather, Brenda and I walked downtown for a "treat".  We had so much fun, reminded me of days gone by---except for Matt and Heathers speed walking contest, that's a recent development!  Thank you everyone for making Zoe feel so loved and special.  A sweet girl like her deserved all the love she got!!

I adore us too. We're awesome people...especially that Zoe. And I think the walk to the store should be a new tradition while we're in town, not unlike our trips to Moses.
