Chemo round 10 days 2 & 3

Computer woes last night so no post.  Michael is starting to think I have a black thumb(it's just one minivan and one newish computer big deal...!), I know for a fact (just look at my yard) that I don't have a green thumb.  Anyway, we are back online and ready to roll.  The Doctors in Seattle have decided that Jackson's bone marrow needs a bit more rest so instead of Chemo again on June 30-July 3 we will wait and go again July 7-10.  Fine with us, a little complicated with the hotel situation, but I am just grateful we have been able to go pretty much on schedule for 10 whole months.  Dr. McClain, the Histio specialist, wants us to bring Jackson to Houston again in August to determine if Chemo is done or continuing on.  He also brought up the possibility of increasing his dose of Cytarabine since improvements in symptoms seems to have come to a halt.  I wish I was a more informed participant in these discussions but try as I do, and I do, these reports and research studies are just beyond me.  I asked Jax what he wanted to do tonight and he wanted to go to a car dealership and window shop (don't tell the GT you'll hurt it's feelings) but our GPS just wouldn't help us out.  After 30 minutes of driving around downtown Seattle with Lola(the GPS has a name in our house) who just kept trying and failing to locate her satellite signal.  She would tease us and get us going in one direction only to abandon us before we could get there.  Oh well, maybe it's a sign the GT will pull through yet!
Jackson got some new medicine this time and it has seemed to help with some problems he has had the last couple of months, so Yeah for less problematic symptoms.  We are anxious to get home tomorrow, me to see the hubby and kids and Jackson is ready to get back to spring football practice.  He can't fully participate but Coach Allred is making him a part of things and my dear boy has high hopes for this fall.

Yep, that extra week between treatments can really make a difference. Houston in Aug. isn't cool, but FL got you ready for that, right? Cool, hot, whatever, and wherever, our prayers will be with you.

At least there aren't as many alligators in Houston. Or are there???

Can't wait to see you two, and the GT is looking a little lonely too. Its funny how many people have noticed it in front of our house, knowing it should be in Seattle this week. Sherry said even a police officer (Daren) stopped to check it out, she was amused by everyones curiosity. Heres to an uneventful trip home!!

That's too bad about your van, or maybe it's a blessing in disguise so you can get a new car to replace the one no one likes. :)

Maybe you can trade cars with Holly. She doesn't like hers either! Anyway that's what she told me when she came here the other night! Gold, red, silver...... I say go shopping for a new car. However you might need to keep the pre-school open to make the payments! Ha

I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the GT is dead- sorry Michael! I know how much you despise that car. Sure do miss and love you guys!

Die GT die! Maybe that's crossing a line. I still see a pretty white suburban in your future. We're keeping Jackson's football future in our prayers.

Wow! It was fun reading up on your last few days in Fla. What an awesome experience! That albino alligator is something else. I am so sorry about your minvan. We just had the transmission on our suburban rebuilt. Yikes! Luckily I was just in the garage when I realized it wouldn't go into reverse. I can't imagine being on the highway! Glad you were safe and rescued. You do realize one of my motivations for moving to Royal was your preschool! Thanks, alot.:)
